Redeem Principal Tokens
Redeem matured PT from Portfolio and understand the quoted output.
After a PT reaches maturity, open Portfolio → PT, locate the position, then choose Actions → Redeem. Connect the wallet that holds the PT and switch to the position's network when prompted.
Review the amount, available output token and estimated proceeds. Complete any required token approval, then confirm redemption in your wallet. Wait for a confirmed transaction before treating the balance as redeemed.
Redemption uses the PT's current redemption rate. The underlying amount is normally close to one unit per PT, but an underlying loss can reduce that rate. Output in an interest-bearing token or wrapper base token also depends on its conversion rate. Use the displayed token and amount rather than assuming every output is 1:1.
Before maturity, use Sell PT for a market exit, or Burn PT+YT when you hold matching tokens. Selling depends on available liquidity and execution costs.
A paused contract or unavailable conversion can prevent redemption. A failed quote is not a confirmed loss or a successful transaction. Retry once data is available and review the updated quote.
